A total of 16 films supported by the Sundance Institute, through the
Sundance Film Festival, the Sundance Documentary Fund, and the Feature
Film Program, are now appearing on screens throughout the U.S. The 13
films listed below continue their runs.

DIG!
Ondi Timoner’s latest documentary premiered at the ’04 Festival
where it won the Grand Jury Prize for Documentary. It opens in select
cities nationwide throughout the fall.
Garden
State
Garden State is the feature writing and directorial
debut of Zach Braff, and was part of the Dramatic Competition at the
’04 Festival.
Guerilla:
The Taking of Patty Hearst
From director Robert Stone, Guerilla: The Taking of Patty
Hearst was part of the documentary competition at the
’04 Festival. It opened in LA, San Francisco, and New York in
November, and will open in select cities nationwide this winter.
The
Machinist
The latest film from director Brad Anderson with the script by Scott
Alan Kosar, was shown in the Premieres section of the ’04 Festival.
The
Motorcycle Diaries
Directed by Walter Salles and scripted by Jose Rivera, this film was
shown in the Premieres section of the ’04 Festival. It is now
playing in theatres nationwide.
Napoleon
Dynamite
Director Jared Hess collaborated with his wife Jerusha Hess to write
the script for Napoleon Dynamite, his first
feature film which premiered at the Festival this year.
Overnight
Directed by Mark Brian Smith, this documentary screened in the Park
City at Midnight section of the Festival in 2004.
Primer
Written and directed by Shane Carruth, Primer
took home the Grand Jury Prize at the ’04 Festival. It continues
its run in select cities.
Proteus
The latest work from writer/director David Lebrun, Proteus
was a part of the Special Screenings offerings at the ’04 Festival.
Remember Me, My Love
This Italian film was directed by Gabriele Muccino, who collaborated
with Heidrun Schleef on the script. It was one of the Festival’s
World Cinema offerings in 2004.
SAW
Director James Wan collaborated with Leigh Wannell on the script for
SAW, his feature film directorial debut.
The film was screened in the Park City at Midnight section of the ’04
Festival, and continues it’s U.S. run.
Seducing
Doctor Lewis
Directed by Jean-François Pouliot and written by Ken Scott, this
French-Canadian film won the World Cinema Dramatic Audience Award at
the ’04 Festival.
Tarnation
The first feature film from writer/director Jonathan Caouette, Tarnation
was one of the offerings in the Frontier section of the ’04 Festival.
It continues its run in select cities.
